| Have you stopped to consider that as Brentford Library is a listed building there would be special considerations if a refurb was to be carried out? For a start off you'd have to involve English Heritage, and generally work on listed buildings requires the input of conservators and can be incredibly expensive. Now I don't know if that has made a difference to what happens at Brentford, maybe the building is fine as it is. I only raise it as a possibility - before you go tearing off on another tangent. Why not ask Matt Harmer or Ruth Cadbury both local councillors and residents? They have surgeries locally. It is also worth noting that you can order books online which can be picked up at your local library so why would you have to go to Chiswick? |
