In addition, here are the points from Page 6 of the budget document table you mentioned (http://democraticservices.hounslow.gov.uk/mgConvert2PDF.aspx?ID=56945) Libraries - One off saving on the book fund for 2011/12. £300,000 - green status (Preparatory work to be able to implement savings complete, low risk that they could not be achieved for 2011/12) Libraries - Reduction from the contract sum, which will be determined following the Library Strategy Review. £240,000 - red status (Significant amount of work outstanding if option is to be implemented, high risk that saving could not be achieved for 2011/12) Libraries - Additional reductions possible from the contract sum but this would require a greater impact on services. £329,300 - blue status (Savings which are no longer being pursued for 2011/12) So it looks as if the only cuts this year MIGHT be the £300,000 from the book fund. Let's see what they say after the meeting on 8th Feb. |
