I'm encouraged to see that there is an intention to have a library strategy drawn up - would be fascinated to read the guidelines for this and to generally know more about it. Savings for 2011/12 can be delivered by deferring some book purchases in the mean time. The options relating to libraries were not supported by 57% of residents who provided a response to the proposal (ENV 15,18,24). 15% of people were unsure.
