| I don't have any political affiliations but do want to see the libraries kept open. It is difficult to offer the council a solution without knowing what the savings from closing Brentford library are projected to be. If you take account of redundancies and any penalty payments to Laings or others currently involved in providing the Library service how much would it cost the council 1) to keep it open using the current restricted hours, 2) to keep it open full time. I am sure there are other places to look to find savings that do not include closing the Youth or Elderly Care services. What's happened to all the Councillors that post on this forum - they must know or be able to find out the answer to such a basic question. |
