Good Morning Vanessa. Sorry i meant to say as long as we don't fight and attack the URAI. They told us there can be as many groups as you want on the Estate and they all will get the same help and support and can apply for Grants if its for a Good cause for the estate, that IVYTAG could hold its own funday etc etc. As to your 2nd part, they really do believe if they control a TA they will get more votes honestly thats how this lot works. In 2003 when i took over IVYTAG it only had a few members on it, i wanted to get more on board and 1 off the main things i wanted to do was get the Ethnic Residents involved because they have always been shut out of the Residents Association on here. So the Gentleman i was told to go to, to make that happen was the current chair because he is a kind of spokesperson in the ethnic community (not all off them though) and we got a huge number of Residents from the Ethnic community as Members. The local labour group see the Chair in the same way that he can talk to residents to get their support. |
