| If, and it's a big if, it was costing £2000 a year to maintain the area which given the state of it is dubious to say the least, are we supposed to believe that 2K can make or break a multi million pound council budget? I think not. There have been so many officers involved and so many convoluted excuses, reasons and general and contradictory rubbish spouted I don't believe anyone any more. Our wonderful councillors have all gone to ground - no change there then. The fact remains this is an urban residential area, local residents have been ignored, lied to and treated with contempt, and an open space has been effectively privatised for one individual's use. I don't think we can look to elected members to protect our interests from conceited, arrogant paid officers, they are a disgrace and a waste of space. |
