“today residents manning a small rugby match day parking scheme at the Bridge Link Centre on Ivybridge were harangued by two ward councillors and told their fund-raising operation would be stopped.” Simon Anderson posted last year: “Bridgelink centre and the URA will be allowing parking in the centre car park we decided to charge £10 a car and have 10 places all money will go to the Bridgelink Centre and the URA” What on earth has it got to do with ward councillors if residents are raising funds? I know this council has gone completely mad and deserves the title of most rotten Borough in the UK but this takes the cake. Councillors are there to serve the community not harangue them. Who were the two ward Cllrs? They should be named and shamed for behaving like playground bullies – surely? |
