You would actually think that in view of the planning application to Richmond Council for the hospitality village on the RFU car park, which will mean shutting the A316 for up to eight hours on some match days, and which will have a significant impact on quite a chunk of Hounslow, our elected representatives could apply their minds to ensuring this borough is completely involved and consulted. Instead they'd rather upset a local residents association and prevent them from raising funds. Richmond council are organising briefing meetings with TfL, the police and the RFU, for the public and businesses, presumably, as per usual, our lot know it all and don't give a stuff about the residents who live on the Hounslow side adjacent to the RFU and that doesn't take into account the knock-on effects of long closures of such a busy road. |
