""Speaking to Planning at the MIPIM property fair at Cannes in France earlier today, Steve Curran, leader of the London Borough of Hounslow, said the council was planning for both eventualities depending on what the government-appointed Davies Commission decides. He said: "We have to plan for both eventualities. So we need to plan if Heathrow doesn’t get expansion and then it might lose its hub status, we have to plan for that. "I think [the effect on the local economy] will be severe, all the predictions are it will be severe, but we need to plan for that. At the same time, we need to plan for if the Davies Commission says ‘yes’ – they may say Heathrow and Gatwick - it could be a hybrid of that, but whatever the decision for or against we’ve got to be ready and we’ve got to plan for that."" WOW - what an eloquent speaker!!! How many times does he have to say 'plan'?? What a great 'leader' - planning to plan to plan but no action. So a trip to Cannes to speak about planning and the best he can do is say he has got to plan. |
