| There seems to me to be the misconception that this sort of involvement somehow influences the way people vote, that sort of thinking is frankly quite ridiculous. For the vast majority of people political involvement is non existent, and unless they have some direct contact as in the case of a councillor helping them out on a particular issue, they are unlikely to be influenced at an election. The way the current bunch are performing is quite mystifying, they are so dreadful, they really need to concentrate on representing people and working with them, rather than doing their level best to upset and annoy anyone. You can never please all of the people all of the time, around here a new record has been set, how to manage to fall out with everyone! Takes some doing that does. |
