Surly its Carillion Services that manage our parks and open spaces. So the expense of the park / open space would be down to then when their contract was drawn up. If anyone complains about the expense of maintaining an area it should be Carillion not Hounslow Council, unless they left this open space out of their contract. From the LOBH Website The borough’s parks and open spaces together represent the highest percentage of green areas of all London boroughs. Carillion Services, on behalf of the council, manage the parks and maintain many of the facilities provided, including the play areas, sports facilities, trees, grass and flower beds.Together, these facilities provide a pleasant environment and leafy ambience to our borough. River Crane Crane Park is part of the M076 The Crane Corridor Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation and contains two statutory Local Nature Reserves at Pevensey Road Local Nature Reserve (LNR) and Crane Park Island Local Nature Reserve (LNR). |
