| I agree that landlords and letting agents aren't doing their jobs in making sure that tenants have the information and equipment needed. It's a bit of a Catch 22 because when I complained to new neighbouring tenants about them not using the bins properly and trashing the street I was asked whether I was from the Council. If you complain to the Council without telling them first then you are squealing. They are just playing one person off against another. That's why I think Residents Associations where neighbours can help each other to solve any problems are useful. LBE used Keep Britain Tidy to visit door to door after the new system was rolled out - why this isn't part of a contract - who knows. Residents like this are the ones that need visiting by a Council Recycling/Waste Minimisation Officer. |
