| Another system used years ago when we only had green boxes was to have dividers in them. Then you could just separate as you would if you had dividers in a drawer of your chest of drawers. Later the prevalence of carrier bags meant that residents separated some items into those. Now thankfully we have fewer plastic carrier bags. They no longer decorate the trees in the way that they did. I put my recycling in a reusable shopping bag on the back of a door and put it into the collecting box just before collection. If I miss a fortnightly collection then I am likely to go to the roadside recycling banks to reduce at least part of it. Why have an enormous mostly empty wheelie bin spoiling your garden? |
