I think the figures will no doubt be heavily massaged as per the usual method of B******t baffling brains used so lovingly by the Mayor of London, TfL and Local Councils. It might be that post collection from homes, recycling may go up. But the simple fact is. We throw out the same amount of stuff do the same degree as we did before our homes and streets were turned into 24/7 refuse centres. If I honestly could say we recycle more, or more diligently or that what gets disposed of is significantly reduced, then that would be at least something. But the truth is we feel we are now recycling less and less diligently. And the one size fits all is locally a retrograde step towards being a third world urban mess. |
