Not strictly true - to demolish and rebuild these small covered areas would cost a fortune and who would pay? The existing bin areas are workable but not with so many large rigid monstrosities and they are too low to accommodate wheelie bins. With agreement, we have retained one lidded dustbin per home for the black bag refuse. Individually most residents have been able to return a number of the recycling boxes to the Council and share boxes with other neighbours. IMO the Council should have spent more time consulting with residents before issuing all these containers and bins. |
