| You can buy a can crusher to crush cans (make sure it will crush steel as well as aluminium) for a small sum to reduce volume. In an office we put one on the wall and put a bin underneath so that everybody crushed their own aluminium drinks cans. (Funny how so many people suddenly became super strong and squeezed them by hand.) Otherwise you can do what I do and stand on them (wearing stoutish shoes - not flip-flops). Once rinsed place the lid inside the can and squash. Aluminium cans are very light and don't roll around when flattened. Do you remember how the ring-pull on aluminum drinks cans used to come off completely and how they have now been redesigned to stay on and are called tabs? Packaging keeps on changing. |
