"Even consultants who bus it from Charing Cross are regularly up to an hour late because of the delays to public transport. So fine if you can walk or use a push bike but for most going to a hospital, it is more than likely that the reason for being at the hospital makes those options a pipe dream." And precisely why the closure of Church Street, against the will of the people, was totally irresponsible and idiotic. These Labour Councillors really need to get real and think about the environment and the people they purport to serve rather than going flat out against the community to support a few of their rich buddies in Church Street. Their behaviour on this issue has been obscene and caused traffic and environmental chaos. It still astounds me that these Councillors can be so incredibly thick and did not foresee the problems especially knowing about the hundreds of new apartments at Town Wharf and the Nunnery in St Margaret's Road. |
