| Talking to someone in the pub the other night who has over the years regularly driven from Brentford to the Isleworth Leisure Centre to take his children to swim club. Prior to the Church Street closure he would leave Brentford 15 minutes before the club start time and arrive in plenty of time for the kids to get ready. Since the Church Street closure he now has to leave at least 30 minutes before to get there on time. He gave up going the Twickenham Road route and now goes down St John's Road to get to the leisure centre. The constant delays can only be due to Church Street and, as in this gentleman's case, it forces traffic down other previously quieter streets. |
