Its a bit like the nerve gas allegations. Either the Kremlin sanctioned it or they have lost control. For Church Street, either the Councillors were spineless and accepted a whipping from Leadership and followed orders mindlessly to look after their buddies in Church Street, or they were extremely stupid to behave so undemoctratically and even more stupid to have not recognised the traffic and pollution impact the closure would create. Whatever the reason the closure has caused more traffic in Twickenham Road, St Margarets Road, Worton Road, Linkfield Road and St John's Road. Not to mention the rat runs now through Worple Avenue, Worple Road, Brantwood Road, Cleveland Road. A total disaster! |
