| I don't think anyone claims that Joe Public always gets it right, and of course councils must consider their fiduciary duty to council taxpayers when making decisions, but it's a case of some you win - some you lose. Who said democracy doesn't have a cost? I'll bet the councillors in Lambeth aren't being called everything under the sun and aren't in fear of losing public support and their seats this week. Sometimes as I know, you have to stick your head over the parapet. |
