Raymond, I do understand that there may well be other residents parked in the vicinity of my house. However (a) they obviously could not park closer to their homes as spaces there were occupied by not necessarily residents, and (b) I know very well that drivers of some cars parked here in fact live in GWQ and the current CPZ areas. As for the logic - unfortunately the main logic I really see in the CPZ opposition is that people do not want to pay for what used to be free. But unfortunately the situation now is different – whatever used to be free simply doesn’t exist any more. The number of non-residents who park around Griffin Park is a lot more than it used to be – from the new developments, from those who just leave their cars here for a few days, from the CPZ streets where people don’t want to pay for parking. |
