| HI Saul, thanks for the reply, I think no-one is dismissing the need for a CPZ given the right circumstances, it's the way it's being done, as you say it's purely because of parking displacement. But the way to solve the issue is not to be just another resident laying down our rights for a CPZ because we want our own personal street to be fine, as the problem just moves on to the next street. This is exactly what the council want! This is unfair! the CPZ consultation as put in the guidelines of the Road Traffic act should be well planned with consideration for a problem parking area and it's surrounding area's.. They are simply moving the problem around and making it worse, the long term plan must be to gain an extra parking tax..one they can increase yearly.. That aside I think it's wholly unjust and downright dangerous to affect traffic flow like this down Lateward Road , given the car mayhem at school times and people like Matt Harmer and the council are responsible! We need to make a noise so the whole of Brentford is given a proper review. |
