When I get home at night and I'm in the car, If I can't park in my street I have to look elsewhere. This is no uncommon. You cannot complain about other cars parking at night because they are not from the vicinity of your house. They are almost certainly residents of this district. In Lateward road we have extra space because of the park being on one side. We all know that residents from other streets particularly Brook Road Park here at night. Brook road's traffic calming means that many cannot ever park outside their homes. But they are local residents. Very different from your implication that people were parking from afar. If we have a proper zone CPZ I will still be able to park in your road and probable people will still have to park at night in our road. If it is street by street what happens when it gets to a tiny road like Grosvenor road? or Albany Road or Mafeking Avenue? Where there will never be space to accomodate a car per dwelling? Sorry Alex but your logic is rather flawed on this. |
