| But a 4x4 poses other problems. They are much higher, block the view for other cars manouvering particularly in tight spaces and make it very dangerous for children both on bikes and as pedestrians as they just cannot be seen. 4x4s are also wider even than some vans and make it very hard and dangerous for anyone in standard sized car. Trying to park or pull out. It's not about choice it is about common sense and practicality and these sorts of vehicles are for families with driveways in Ruislip not tiny terraced streets in this sort of area. It's the fact that so many have been taken in by the marketing of these as a status symbol and a must have that is the problem. |
