| You're not wrong Saul but this is not the way to do it. Residents will all end up paying for a solution to a problem that a few months ago did not exist. Not only that but the many who do drive to work and are gone all day will still have to have a permit and it will be just as difficult to park at night as it is now. Hamilton road is near the railway and a station. It's higher house prices reflect that. But it is elitist to give that street a CPZ without concern for the fallout. Why should we in a street not affected previously pay the price? The only solution is a low cost Blanket CPZ with the hours you suggest. But protecting that low cost is paramount as recent huge hikes in Ealing have shown what a trap that can drop us all into. |
