If you look at the last published plan for a full CPZ. ( A copy was still in the library last summer) Yellow lines were specified in all the roads that have single carriageways at intervals to allow passing and turning points This means that 4-6 houses have double yellow or single yellow lines right outside. Thats 4-6 residences where you would never be able to park. The average street had two to three of these planned losing 12-15 car spaces. They could be positioned outside your home. Apart from that, total up the loss of those spaces and the extended corner restrictions and it's up to 20 spaces lost per street. Everyone is entitled to a permit and currently individuals living in a shared residence are legally entitled not to be discriminated against where permit restrictions apply. Some boroughs it is one permit per household. It's the thin end of a wedge which will deter commuters but screw residents. |
