Unfortunately making sure developers provide 1 parking place per per unit will not exactly do the trick. Some residents from new developments will still look to park in adjacent streets – some as they wouldn’t want to pay for parking, some as they have more than one car. Unfortunately the demand for parking around Griffin Park has greatly increased in the last few years and it will not get any better. Now there is no other way than CPZ. But it must not be on a street by street basis and it must be reasonably timed (Hamilton Road timing is fine I believe). And as someone mentioned earlier charges for the second car should be more reasonable. |
