| It's good to know that the Friends seem to be doing well and do feel a little guilty that we have not really done much more than read the updates. However, from what I hear from fellow residents is much of what the Friends want to do, gets thwarted or bogged down with cost or bureaucracy issues. Maybe someone more active than us who fully support it but don't really participate could be a little more enlightening on it. But I should imagine a wish list of things could be quite long. But how can an individual or small group of residents get anywhere? Petitions? Requests? Meetings? Even I'm not sure and maybe I ought to be. Personally I would like to see Avenue Road swept of the months old leaves that have turned to sticky slime and the chap simply cannot cope with trying to clear it up. It's gotten quite treacherous, walking down there last night. |
