Lived and worked in places where there is real hardship and even a push bike is a luxury. Places where there really is no hope. Places where corruption deals a bad hand to the poor. Places where decadence seeps out of every door. It's not nice at either end of the scale and it's not what we have here. We are all rich here by comparison but in fact it does not compare. Our poverty is very different but there is still hopelessness and deprivation. But to assume people are rich because they live in a CPZ is naive to say the least. The reality is there are people in council houses and flats, some of whom I went to school with, who earn 3 times what I do. They have regular holidays, do plenty of things and are quite content with their lot. It is impossible to tar everyone with the same brush. I have neighbours who can send their kids to private schools and others who are in need of food and help. They all live in a CPZ. What this ruling administration and probably any other administration are doing is creating divisions. Divide and rule. A cheap way to play political games and get away with it. We have it with stealth charges and far too much supposition like this claim of CPZ = Rich people. |
