| Yes we've had all those - some in hospital and some in care home. They all cause distress. Re: Would the staff work differently if they had extra time? It is difficult to fix - or fix quickly as a lot of damage is done by short-staffing. If you have been run off your feet fire-fighting for years you eventually can't remember what little niceties you might do for your residents - like helping them to make a phone call or finding someone to alter a favourite skirt or helping them to keep in touch with friends. Or just thinking about a better solution to dealing with something... rather than opting for the morphine (as happened unfortunately in that film). |
