Did the people who voted for the scheme understand that when the yellow lines went down that the unofficial pavement parking was gone? I have no Idea Sarah, Maybe some think after the CPZ times are finished they can park back on the yellow lines. When you went passed, the roads were probably full of vehicles from other developments adjacent to the estate. Also the workers from the developments being built at the moment. There is no visitor parking for GWQ and he last time I checked there was no parking spaces allocated for the social housing within GWQ, so they park elsewhere. If the Proposed CPZ goes ahead, I can see a massive problem mounting up with this part of Brentford, which has been created by the way that car parking is factored in when a complex is design. The planing rules should amended to cater for one vehicle per dwelling. But saying that the Haverfield was built with enough Parking under the maisonettes, which have been closed for years. One is used for storage, would be nice to have at least one of them opened up again, but no doubt it would cost to much. |
