"CPZs tend to have a negative effect in house prices as it indicates a parking problem. But in areas like this, proper homes are in very short supply so it is negated." Raymond I do not know where your evidence is for this statement is coming from. I talk to estate agents and they say that the introduction of a CPZ can add as much as 10% to house prices. This because it is obvious where there are parking problems and this depresses house prices. No one wants to move there if they can avoid it. When a CPZ is implemented an area immediately becomes more attractive to house buyers. It is one of the reasons that people pay a significant premium for a home in a so called gated community. |
