Much was made of the police not being informative enough about local police activities at Morrisons etc. In part because of the high proportion of local people who do not have internet access. Simple solution, A poster in Morrisons. There are local neighbourhood noticeboards in St Pauls park. Quite new but seldom used. Had I known, and I would never have found the link Adam posted (Primarily because I did not have a clue that this was in the offing.) I would have printed it off and posted it myself. But as someone else has mentioned, Why did Matt Harmer not mention this when he had the chance in his newsletter? He must have known. But 77 want a full CPZ and 111 do not. So clearly a somewhat sizable majority want a far more flexible scheme. What has not been s=discussed and this Is what I was expecting is how this can be adjusted. That does not include those who do not want any sort of CPZ which is also a sizeable number. At the end of the day less than 40% of all households even bothered to respond . So really there is not a mandate to do anything. In a nutshell it's rushed and without proper resident consultation. It does not happen like this in Ealing where residents are involved in every stage. Anyone who registers an interest is kept fully informed by post or email and via residents groups. Here it seems like a total cock up. |
