| Sorry Raymond but I disagree, in this day and age Joe Public knows that there's lots of information available on the internet, and clearly as regular posters on here both yourself and Anthony are familiar with the Area Forum setup, indeed probably more familiar with it than I am - I am not directly involved and haven't been to an Area Forum meeting in years. For what's it is worth I think the Area Forum setup is woefully inadequate when it comes to planning applications, but that's an issue for another day. Reading Anthony's post, it implies the Officer withheld the potential hours from everyone concerned until just before the vote. Clearly that isn't true, Councillors had the report which gave options well in advance, and it was also available on the website in advance. I'm surprised no copies of the agenda were available for the public to look at during the meeting, but I'll accept what you say. The fact that neither yourself nor Anthony bothered to do any research prior to attending the meeting is your responsibility, end of story. Sorry to be blunt but that's the reality, and any criticism (justified or otherwise) of the Officer presenting should focus upon their performance on the night, not upon any 'invented' procedural shortcoming or failure. |
