Membership of the Hounslow Homes Board is not a pecuniary interest and would not have to be declared. The same would be true for the Cabinet lead member. Indeed, the law affecting councillor interests specifically permits council tenants who are members to take part in matters involving council housing. Hounslow Homes is an arms-length company and no councillor has a pecuniary interest in this body in Hounslow. As Phil says, the only option that is likely to have any chance of success in challenging the decision is a judicial review. Note that earlier Hounslow Council decisions to oppose signs overlooking the M4 were lost on appeal, and the Mayor's Office recently supported illuminated adverts at the Chiswick roundabout. AND.......... the adverts you pass on the M4 raise up to £1 million EACH for their owners. |
