I am not quite with Anthony but agree that this decision is very odd and those who voted for it should be asked why they decided to ignore all the advice against. Typically votes against advice are to curry favour with voters who are Nimby's.In this case its to the financial benefit of HH, a council owned subsidiary. Hence Planning committee have voted in their own interest. Nothing new there, S106 contributions have meant that councils benefit from approving Planning Applications....and it has worked. In this case I am amazed that approval has been given to something so out of place with existing policy. A bad decision IMHO |
