"Thick as planks" is the term that comes to my mind. Common sense doesn't prevail. Ask the experts..us! Thanks Phil for your fine written observation. I recall Ken Livingstone paying £36,000,000 to Planners and consultants working on the West London Tram Scheme.. you know the one along the Uxbridge Road from Westfield, Acton, Hanwell, to Uxbridge. I listened incredulously as some highly expensive individual described how parts of Acton High Street would be closed to ordinary traffic...which would be diverted down Lardens Road and some how go down Bollo Bridge Road before rejoining the Uxbridge Road. A totally doppy idea and he a waste of our money. One wonders if the LED Neon lighting will affect future residents of the new Kew Bridge Road development next to Holland Gardens. I gather that the developers are concerned too.. (only hearsay though). |
