I just thought there may be ways of saving or spending money wisely which haven't been considered - often because, it seems, things are set in the squabble of politics not the world of reason. Maybe by getting our heads together the community as a whole might come up with ideas? I said on the Hounslow Homes thread that I was worried about some of the leads being given them - and if you read through the minutes of their personnel meetings they are about to kiss goodbye to around £20,000.00 having lost an employee who subsequently took them to a tribunal, and won. I wonder what services that sum of money (plus the extra costs of Hounslow Homes in going to the tribunal) could have bought or run for a year? I wonder if £20,000.00 would have given one of our community centres a years reprieve? You would have to ask the people who do the sums. |
