I don't have a scanner but will copy it and make it available. It has taken me several weeks of letters and phone calls and all drew a blank. In the end I wrote to the Fire Brigade HQ. In actual fact, the refuse truck and the recycling truck and the building delivery trucks are all much longer and wider than a standard London Fire Service appliance. So unless they came by when a footy match was on to carry out this test, it is hard to believe they could not get into these streets. They seem to manage OK when they do hydrant tests in the spring. I initially enquired as oddly for around here, no-one saw any fire engine on manouvres. And I'm told, a chap in I think, Grosvenor Road reversed his Routemaster into the street last summer and that's much bigger and longer. Shame I missed that! It was only when no-one could produce a name, division officer or a written copy of a report that I thought it odd. |
