| The garages are not being sold off they are being abolished. Even though they are so sought after that the waiting list is nearly a decade. The rents are not cheap either, £15 a week with vat. But you get full Hounslow tenancy rights. Having had minimal maintenance, no services, they are pure profit for LBH. I understand the rents have doubled in just 12 months. But Council tenants get a 50% discount. Quite why that is I have no idea. They are rented to local people and Hounslow homes have co-ordinated this for some time so they do serve local people. |
