| That there have been major problems with the new recycling arrangements is undeniable but I was greatly impressed by the fact that the Lead Member overseeing the department has demonstrated the fortitude and courage to apologise, even though in truth she is the one who has been let down. A simple thing though it may be to do, this is in fact a rare occurance in politics and I think Councillor Reid's honesty is a quality to be commended. Let's see how the problems residents have encountered are addressed, give things a chance to kick in and revisit them in a few weeks' time.
