| To be fair to both Councillors who went to Cannes, having known them both on a professional level for numerous years, I would say that they are both very much in touch with reality and they will be genuinely alarmed at all the problems the new system has caused. The less said about the Cannes trip the better though, in my opinion an error of judgement to attend at the taxpayers expense, and an offer to subsequently pay the costs would in my opinion have been reasonable (we all make mistakes) rather than trying to fob us off with this amusing idea that the trip will assist the regeneration of parts of the Borough. |
