March, April & May complaints against Thames Water soar to all time highs as site management fail to abate or control odour nuisance and prove expansion to be be unsustainable. Little wonder that Tory Councillor Brad Fisher, who voted approval of the ill-fated expansion, uttered not a word during the entire Thames Water / Residents liaison meeting. Little wonder too that said Tory Councillor left the meeting early, without even an apology or thanks to the Chair, when Environmental Scientist Barry Edwards spoke of the failures and the un sustainability of the expansion program. Little wonder that the Councillor high-tailed it when Barry Edwards expressed his dissatisfaction with the Independent Odour Research Study, as stipulated within the S106 approved by Cllrs Brad Fisher, Sam Hearn, Felicity Barwood, Barbara Reid, Sheila O'Reilly et el, following the Tory cowardly U-turn on the expansion. Another summer of misery for Richmond and Hounslow residents thanks to Tory Councillors who didn't listen and/or 'voted on a hunch'. Never again must they be rewarded with any office of power or influence. |
