| I did NOT ignore your response and clearly sated that the speed humps could be removed from Occupation Lane if ANPR CCTV (which you clearly claimed was inexpensive)was used instaed of concrete blocks. Well, on you conscience be it Cllr. Lambert should there be any kind of fire or medical emergency on Chestnut or adjacent roads and if the emergency services are delayed by the imposition of concrtes blocks. Any ambulance coming from West Area HQ in Hanwell (as it would for this location) will be delayed by your imposed 'detour' as would any fire applicance from Ealing. The closure of Albany Road, is a total red herring as although the direct route has been closed there is still access from multiple points. No one was ever going to complain about taking a minute longer to get to Morrisons. Still, as long as you are 'proud' of your scheme, then that's all that matters isn't it? I am happy that trafiic levels are being contained but this is a very ill-considered scheme and, even a moment of thought not tempered by a political ideology, would agree. |
