| It may not be legal. Occupation Lane is clearly marked as part of the London Borough of Ealing. The road was resurfaced by Ealing and is lit by Ealing and the signage at both ends is Ealing. Enquiries show that no transfer of boundaries have taken place and that part of the road is unadopted road and was made accessible as a requirement for new access to Clayponds Hospital when rebuilt. It appears LBH have no right to close Occupation ~Lane without full consultation with Ealing and South Ealing ward residents must be informed. The NHS trust, LAS and patient care groups should also have been fully informed and advised of the implications. Written clarification has been requested. Apparently, rather unbelievably, I am the first person to make such an enquiry. Furthermore the speed humps and chicanes which impede access to the Hospital should have been removed or levelled before closure. This meddling has serious implications to well being of others, so not acceptable for this not to be properly thought through and discussed with those who can be affected. |
