| Fact is the Hospital generates a lot of traffic for ancillary purposes which brings in refuse trucks and delivery vehicles and service vehicles as well as ambulances and ramp ambulances and community transport vehicles. All will be affected by closing Occupation Lane as the Hospitals catchment area is Ealing. All these movements will now have to got through the residential areas so and this is where the speed humps exist. But the massive delays in South Ealing Road and Windmill Road as well as the increase other initiatives will have on the A4 will add to delays for these service vehicles which add to delays for patients and increase costs from wasted fuel to employees overtime. Knee-jerk is not the way to solve things, it's all been like this for good reason and none of these day to day things can change overnight without good alternatives up and running. There are not any, and none of it will be affordable anytime soon. |
