| So many of the Ealing schemes seem to be general traffic calming measures offering only tangential benefits to pedestrians. I understood the original intention of these experimental schemes was '..to reallocate road space to people walking and cycling, both to encourage active travel and to enable social distancing during restart..' That objective would be better achieved by making more space available for pedestrians to safely use the shops in South Ealing Road rather than sending more traffic down it. |
