| Guy, Sorry, I should probably have copied you on my emails to the Traffic Departments - I will do so now. However whilst I know this is 'only' a trial, as there don't appear to be any measurable outcomes, how will we know if the experiment is a success? This closure is not just about improving the situation for residents of Clayponds Avenue at peak times - which I accept can be frustrating but is only a relatively short period of the day - it is about inconveniencing all of the Residents of the Clayponds Estate who need to drive who will now have to use a longer - in time and distance - route for access to and from South Ealing or most worryingly put potentially big pressure on Chestnut Avenue - a road with houses, narrow passing spaces and considerably more people that live (!) or walk along Occupation Lane. We should have been properly consulted about this proposal and particularly the objectives of the scheme. |
