| Its really good that someone has listened to a local resident about the new temporary traffic systems. I can see a problem with the no right hand turn in Clayponds avenue. It allows traffic to still travel along Chestnut Avenue until they reach the sign, some will disregard it and still turn right, the more law abiding drivers will turn left looking for a way out. If Occupation Lane is closed, then there will no way out of the estate, so I know what I would do, turn left out of chestnut Ave quickly turn right into Carville Crescent, then reverse back out into Clayponds Avenue, then you can drive straight down to the lights on the A4. I am no traffic engineer but would a No Left Hand turn Sign into Chestnut Ave sited on the Ealing Road be slightly better? Or make Occupational lane one way out of the estate to give a stray vehicle a way out and also aide the residents. I have an interest in the area as I have a disable member of my family living in the estate. |
