| Has anyone had a look at http://investhounslow.com/ On the front page under Investment Opportunities it says 'we're up for being brave', in fact that's all it says. Among the investment opportunities is the Morrisons site which is noted as 'Allocation: Mixed use'. Sponsors of this Hounslow Council web site are referred to as Partners and include Ballymore and any number of other developers, and they appear to have all gone to Cannes together this year. Now I don't want to jump to conclusions but one of the basic rules in business is not to be close or friendly with anyone who's sole purpose is to make money out of you or influence you to allow them to push the boundaries. And I don't like 'we're up for being brave' when it's all about height and density of blocks of flats in Brentford. How about the whole website is replaced with the Local Plan and developers are told 'stick to the plan and we'll help however we can'. |
